9.5The Cube 3d printer is a great entry point into 3d printing.
There are a range of 16 different coloured printing cartridges available to print with including metallic silver and glow in the dark as well as standard vibrant and neutral colours.
The printer comes with 25 printable 3d files and there are loads more available to buy online if your not quite ready to design your own files.
You can print anything up to 140mm x 140mm x 140mm.
The cube is wifi enabled and comes in a choice of 5 colours.
Suitable for use by adults & children, it’s the perfect machine for starting to experiment with 3d printing.
The biggest downside is, as a new technology for home use, it’s still pretty expensive so you might want to wait a couple of years.
The printer is priced at around $1,532 and packs of 7 cartridges available for about $305 (as on 30/09/2013).
A software package, Cubify Invent, is also available for $49 to help turn your ideas into 3d objects.
